This piece embodies the first tale from the book the story of a small bird who wandered through the neighborhood, dressed in her finest clothes, singing as she went. Her voice fluttered between windows and rooftops until the sultan noticed her beauty and aimed toward her. Yet, undeterred, she kept singing.
She is a symbol of innocence, defiance, and freedom a quiet force that resists by simply continuing to be.
